This is not a history lesson - you wont learn about why git was created.
This is not to help you use Github - Github is just one of many providers of hosted git repositories. You'll have to read up on your selected vendor on your own.
No advanced setup and config - this is a kick-start to get you up and running being proficient with git on the command line and in a couple of UI's within a day.
